Maha Integrated Life Sciences City Limited (MILéS City)

is envisioned as a next-generation industrial ecosystem built to accelerate the future of Life Sciences and advanced manufacturing in India.

Established as a Special Purpose Vehicle between Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and Ramky Infrastructure Limited, MILéS City brings together government vision, industrial expertise, and world-class infrastructure capabilities to create a globally competitive manufacturing destination.

Strategically located within the Dighi Port Industrial Area along the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, MILéS City spans over 1,000 hectares and is designed as an integrated, sustainable Eco-Industrial Park. The development aligns with India’s national corridor initiatives, enabling seamless connectivity, efficient supply chains, and accelerated industrial growth.

Developed under a Public–Private Partnership model with MIDC, the project operates under a 95-year concession framework, with phased development designed to build a future-ready industrial ecosystem.

Mr. Yancharla Rathnakara Nagaraja

Director

Mr. Yancharla Rathnakara Nagaraja, Director, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Karnataka University and has over 40 years of experience in Civil, Industrial and Environmental Infrastructure.

He began his career in 1984 with Public Works Department in the State of Karnataka and thereafter worked with Mandanlal Steels Limited and Navega Engineers Private Limited. He has to his credit the successful implementation of a number of civil and environmental infrastructure projects.

He has expertise in design, detailed engineering, costing, execution and commissioning of water, industrial wastewater and sewage treatment plants, roads, industrial sheds & buildings, specialized structures (M.S. buildings). He has toured extensively in the country and abroad to gain first-hand experience and exposure on various aspects related to environmental issues and civil construction activities.

He has participated and conducted several seminars and symposia. He has also attended several training courses and is a member of the Environmental Auditors Registration Association (EARA). He is also a member of IAEM, Institute of Engineers and Institute of Public Health Engineers Association.

He was involved in the design and execution of aero-bridge project for Hyderabad International Airport. Under his leadership the company was awarded the Hyderabad Waste Management Project (HWMP) on BOO basis which is the first of its kind in the country. He was a co-designer of the first major Hazardous waste landfill facility in our country. Designed and set-up wastewater and sewage treatment plants with UASBR as a unit operation.

Dr. Divakar Marri

Director

Dr. Divakar Marri is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of extensive experience in the construction and infrastructure industry. Currently serving as the Vice President & SBU Head – SPVs at Ramky Infrastructure Limited (RIL), a role he has held following a series of senior leadership positions since joining the company in 2005, Dr. Marri has consistently demonstrated expertise in project management, corporate strategy, business analysis, and operations management. His leadership has been pivotal in executing large-scale infrastructure projects both in India and internationally, marked by a strong focus on resource optimization, strategic planning, and cross-functional team leadership.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Dr. Marri contributes to societal development as the Trustee of Ramky Foundation, the CSR arm of the organization. In this capacity, he oversees a range of impactful projects aimed at environmental sustainability, healthcare, education, women empowerment, and rural development, aligning with Ramky’s vision of fostering inclusive and sustainable communities.

Holding a Doctorate in Project Management, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and various internationally recognized certifications, Dr. Marri is widely regarded as a subject matter expert in quality management systems, environmental compliance, and occupational health and safety. His ability to deliver consistent results in complex and high-pressure project environments has earned him industry-wide recognition and respect.

Dr. Ravi Prasad Polimetla

Director

Dr. Polimetla Ravi Prasad holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, a Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Engineering & Management, and a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

He has over 27 years of rich and varied experience in delivering large-scale EPC projects across Water, Wastewater & Waste Management (WWW), Industrial, Environmental, Civil Infrastructure, Real Estate Buildings and Government Buildings sectors. He brings with him good knowledge of Project Management, leading EPC project execution, planning, contract management and operational excellence, driving the successful delivery of complex infrastructure, WWW and Building projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, and timely execution. He has been associated with Ramky Infrastructure Limited since 2003 and is presently designated as SBU Head – EPC & B2B / JV Projects of the Company. Prior to joining Ramky, he has worked with GMR Group and Soma Enterprises Limited.

Mr. Eshwar Reddy Purmandla

Independent Director.

Mr. Eshwar Reddy Purmandla hold a B.E (Hons) in chemical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan and M.Tech. (Process Plant Design) – IIT, Delhi, India, with 45 years of work experience. He has worked with Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, which is the largest government owned company manufacturing Nitrogen and Nitro phosphorus based fertilizers and Industrial Chemicals in India. He worked for around 25 years in Voltas Limited and Rallis India Limited (both TATA group companies) producing agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. Handled assignments in Production, technical Services, new projects, product developments and environment protection and pollution control. Handled simultaneously multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects at different locations.
His specialisation spans fertilizers, pesticides, fine chemicals, bulk drugs, process safety, environmental management, effluent treatment, and sewerage systems. His focus on safety, health, and environment, as well as effluent and sewerage systems, is crucial for sustainable industrial practices.

Dr. Somavarapu Ravi Kumar Reddy

Independent Director

Dr. Ravi Kumar Reddy Somavarapu, a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of professional experience, is Managing Partner of RK Reddy & Associates, Hyderabad. He advises enterprises on financial planning, regulatory compliance, and business management, and serves as an Independent Director on several corporate boards.

Beyond his corporate role, Dr. Ravi has been actively engaged in rural empowerment for over two decades through REEDS, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality of life in villages. His initiatives in sanitation, water conservation, and community development have earned national recognition, including the India Today Safaigiri Award – Water Warrior (2016) and the Gramodaya Bandhu Mitra Puraskar (2020). He was also conferred an Honorary Doctorate in 2015 by American Sentinel University (now part of Post University, USA) for his contributions to rural upliftment and skills development

He brings to the board a unique blend of professional expertise and social commitment.

Dr. Lal Krishna

Director

Dr. P. P. Lal Krishna is a doctorate in Environmental Chemistry from University of Madras having 41 years of experience in various process industries like Bulk Drugs, Pharmaceuticals, Distilleries, Pulp & Paper, Environmental Consultancy, Industrial Parks / Estates  etc. He is a certified Assessor in Environmental excellence and Business excellence

To his credit, he developed various new processes for bulk pharma industry such as “Zero Liquid Discharge’ (ZLD) of liquid trade effluents first time in India, also developed first time membrane bio reactor process for Pharma trade effluents and achieved ISO-14000 certification first time in India for Pharma Industry 

He has presented several technical papers in International and National Seminars / conferences and associated with the consultancy services in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) as an Expert in trouble shooting and also participated in developmental activities 

Out of 41 years, 17 years served as CEO & MD of Visakha Pharmacity Ltd (formerly known as Ramky Pharmacity (India) Ltd)- Visakhapatnam – Andhra Pradesh – India, in which he brought many Multinational Companies into the Pharmacity and made a model Pharmacity. “He was instrumental in attracting investments exceeding ₹35,000 crore to JNPC, which has generated employment opportunities for approximately 40,000 people.  This is the only one Pharmacity offering integrated environmental management facilities and seamless services to the 100 Pharma manufacturing units in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharmacity – Visakhapatnam

Mr. John Robert

Vice President

Mr. John Robert is a globally recognized project management leader with over 28 years of experience delivering complex industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and infrastructure programs. Throughout his career, he has successfully led hundreds of capital projects and more than 572 R&D programs, helping global organizations accelerate innovation, enhance capacity, and create sustainable business value.  

Before joining MILéS City, John served as Vice President and Head of Project Management at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. His career also includes leadership roles at Sun Pharma, Pfizer, Jubilant, Rohm & Haas, and Shasun, giving him deep expertise across the entire pharmaceutical value chain from R&D and technology transfer to manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and commercial execution.  

John is internationally recognized for transforming organizations through modern project governance, integrated PMO systems, digital execution models, and innovation-driven leadership. Ranked among the Top 10 PMO Leaders globally, he has received multiple international recognitions for excellence in project management, innovation, and organizational transformation. His practical approach combines strategic thinking with disciplined execution, enabling organizations to deliver complex programs with speed, quality, and measurable business impact.  

Beyond his corporate leadership, John is an accomplished author, keynote speaker, and entrepreneur. Through Moonshot Systems, he has helped organizations build high-performing teams using innovative, gamified learning methodologies and world-class project management practices. His passion for leadership development, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth continues to inspire professionals and organizations across industries.

Mr. Raj Kumar

Head Marketing

Mr. Raj Kumar is a seasoned business leader with over 35 years of experience in concept selling, project marketing, business development and strategic investment promotion. He brings more than two decades of specialized expertise in the conceptualization, structuring, development, marketing, and management of Industrial Parks and Special Economic Zones (SEZs), with a strong track record of attracting large-scale domestic and international investments.

Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive domain expertise across industrial infrastructure, including Industrial Parks, SEZs, industrial clusters, warehousing solutions, material-handling equipments, heavy-duty industrial racking from Dexion, UK, & Forklift trucks from STILL, GmbH, Truck Mounted articulated Cranes from HIAB, Sweden, waste management, and integrated industrial infrastructure development and management.

His industry experience spans a broad spectrum of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemicals, logistics, cargo, glass, paper, beverages, textiles, and allied manufacturing industries, enabling him to understand diverse investor requirements and deliver customized infrastructure solutions.

A significant milestone in his career was his instrumental role in attracting investments exceeding ₹45,000 crore to Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC), Visakhapatnam, one of India’s pioneering sector-specific Pharma Eco-Industrial Parks. Developed under public-private partnership between the Government of Andhra Pradesh through APIIC and the Ramky Group, JNPC has emerged as a benchmark industrial ecosystem for the pharmaceutical sector.

He also possesses extensive international experience. During his tenure with Gabon Special Economic Zone S.A. (GSEZ), a joint venture between the Republic of Gabon and Olam International Limited, Singapore, he played a key role in securing approximately USD 10 billion in first-phase investments for the Timber Special Economic Zone in Gabon, West Central Africa.

As a senior marketing leader, he successfully managed cross-functional teams across India and Gabon, leading a team of 15 marketing professionals responsible for branding, investment promotion, and global business development. He spearheaded strategic international roadshows, investor outreach programs, media campaigns, stakeholder consultations, and investment summits across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in collaboration with industry associations and chambers of commerce.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Raj Kumar has held key leadership positions with several reputed organizations, including Maini Group, Forbes Gokak Limited (A Shapoorji Pallonji Group Company), Olam International Limited, Singapore, and other leading industrial infrastructure organizations.

Mr. Raj Kumar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. His blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, global marketing experience, and proven investment facilitation capabilities has established him as a respected professional in the fields of industrial infrastructure, investment promotion, and Special Economic Zone development.
